Ubuntu is the creation of trendsetter, specialty gift designer, and world citizen, Nancy Epstein. With nearly 20 years in the design world, Nancy has built a successful career creating innovative products sold in some of the world’s largest retail stores. She’s designed giftware that you and I have seen, or more likely, purchased on a whim: from picture frames, to fancy dog dishes, to fine jewelry.

But Nancy has been beckoned to a greater calling. To “do good” while she helps people look good. Recognizing the impact that one travesty in a small country has on our entire planet, Nancy drew on her experience and passion designing “stuff” intended to make people happy to create Ubuntu, jewelry with a message of unity and compassion.

An innate flair for fashion, eye for art, and heart for people, has allowed Nancy to seamlessly return to her roots in jewelry design to launch a line that is part social statement part fashion statement and completely chic.

For every dollar raised by the sale of Ubuntu designs, 10% is donated to one of two great organizations:

Religions for Peace, the largest international coalition of representatives from the world’s great religions dedicated to promoting peace.

1% For The Planet, whose mission is to use market forces to drive positive environmental change by inspiring companies to give.

Nancy is more than just a designer on a personal mission to do good. She’s extending the message around the world, one necklace at a time.
